Ambassador Nides, one of the world's top diplomats, expressed the view that local governance significantly impacts a nation’s citizens, particularly in times of crisis. The discussion covered macro issues such as Israel’s race against the clock concerning global public opinion, the resilience of Israeli society, instances of antisemitism at American universities, the importance of seizing opportunities amid turmoil, and more.
Ambassador Nides reiterated America’s unwavering commitment to stand alongside Israel, emphasizing, “Especially at this time, the U.S. is proving this on the ground, just as you must do as leaders, serving and empowered by the people you represent.”
The intimate gathering took place at the residence of Shirley and Yossi Sagol, close friends of Ambassador Nides and co-founders of the Bloomberg-Sagol Center for City Leadership at Tel Aviv University.
