In response to the challenges posed by the events of October 2023, local authorities in Israel are actively enhancing their emergency response capabilities. To address this need, we have introduced three comprehensive programs aimed at bolstering municipalities' preparedness for future crises. Crafted with insights gleaned from 20 member authorities, these programs are strategically designed to:
👉 Strengthen the cohesiveness and skills of leadership teams
👉 Establish mechanisms for continuous improvement and reflective learning
👉 Formulate customized urban resilience plans
Commencing with an initial rollout in 11 selected authorities, this training initiative is poised to become a catalyst for nationwide improvement. By sharing lessons learned and promoting mutual learning, we aim to facilitate the widespread implementation of these innovative approaches across Israel. This strategic undertaking signifies our commitment to fostering resilient and well-prepared local authorities capable of navigating the complexities of emergency management.
