Ziv Bar, 44 years old, married, and father of three.
Ziv leads innovation processes in local authorities, managing the innovation department and alumni network. Working with local authorities, he builds capabilities in the core areas the center focuses on, and is responsible for the Center's network for distributing knowledge among cities, collaborating with Bloomberg.
Previously, Ziv served as VP Marketing, Business Development, and Innovation at Israel Tech Challenge (ITC).
Ziv founded and led the innovation department at the Jerusalem Education Department, providing guidance to hundreds of Jewish and Arab institutions. He also worked at the Israel Innovation Institute as director of Innovation and Future Learning, overseeing the development of a national plan to promote innovation in learning and training. Ziv led the youth and innovation department at the Israeli local government Federation, and served as a professional advisor to the Minister of Education in the areas of impact and social leadership.
Ziv graduated from the Mandel Foundation's Local Leadership Program. Mentor at the Technion's Innovation program. He holds a second degree in Public Policy for Managers and a first degree in Social Work with honors from Tel Aviv University and Ben-Gurion University. Ziv served as a commander in the paratrooper division of the IDF special forces.
